Hi again Noltha,

Okay 2 problems here

1) I had not yet had my coffee and was responding as if you were replying to a completely different post. Oops.

2) I need to take my own advice about being careful copy/pasting code into Wordpress.

The code I posted was

fb:share-button href=”http://www.fatdudedesign.com/contact.html”

but it should be

fb:share-button class=”url” href=”http://www.fatdudedesign.com/contact.html”

WP cuts out the class=”url” every time I paste it into my post. Just keeping me on my toes is all. ;) WP comments also don't seem to like code brackets, so be sure to include the < at the beginning and the /> at the end.

I've corrected the code in my post and gave it a brief test over at Facebook. This should work perfectly for you now. Sorry for the confusion!

Happy Facebooking,
FD

Hi Noltha, thanks for visiting!

I assume you're trying this inside a post at the WordPress blog you linked to. Wordpress can be very temperamental when you're trying to insert code into a post. Try this:

1. Write your entire post first. Insert your pictures and hyperlinks, do everything you need to do, and save the Facebook button for last.
2. When the rest of your post is done, enter HTML editing mode.
3. Enter the code as described in my post.
4. DO NOT enter the visual editor again once your code is entered. Wordpress tries to 'help' clean up your code and this usually breaks it.
5. Save and preview the page, and the Like button should be there.

If this didn't help, make sure the text you're pasting in appears exactly the same as it does on my blog post; copy/pasting to and from Wordpress can mess things up sometimes.

If it's still a no-go, I'd be happy to look if you'd like to provide a URL.
